| Location: | Starting in Buffalo, NY & traveling to various Reimer facilities in Ontario. |
| Principal Duties: | Drive trucks to transport goods and material over urban and short inter-urban routes and loading and unloading of cargo.
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and material to destinations over urban and short inter-urban routes. Perform pre-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicles such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading and safety & security of cargo. Record cargo information, information in log book or on on-board computer. Communicate with dispatcher and other drivers using radio/telephone/computer. May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods. Shift work - variable schedule including weekends and overtime. Duties performed in-cab, at loading docks and customer pickup & delivery site. This position starts in Buffalo, NY and then travels to various Reimer facilities in Ontario and then back to Buffalo, NY. |
| Minimum Requirements: | Completion of secondary school.
Class 1 with air brake endorsement. Transportation of dangerous good (TDG) certification. General fitness and physical strength. FAST card and ability to travel to the US. |
